Edward Chu
Senior Managing Director

Co-Founder

Mr. Chu is primarily focused on the Company’s commercial real development and management practice and operations for our portfolio of commercial buildings (the Salons of Volterra).  Prior to creating Hunter Chase and Company in 2004 and Hunter Chase Capital Partners in 2009, Mr. Chu created and managed the Private Equity Group within KeyBank Real Estate Capital from 1991 to 2004. He was involved in raising equity from domestic and international corporate clients for investment in real estate projects throughout the United States. Under his oversight approximately $2.2 billion in equity was raised and invested.  Prior to joining Key, Mr. Chu was a First Vice President with McDonald & Co.’s Public Finance Group, with responsibilities for originating, analyzing, structuring and leading project financing and refinancing for public and non public entities. Mr. Chu also was a vice president with Thomson McKinnon’s Capital Markets Group and a commercial banking officer with Texas Commerce Bank. Mr. Chu has a Bachelor of Science degree in management and an MBA from the University of Houston.

 

Laird A. Fairchild

Mr. Fairchild focuses on resolving development issues , underwriting project feasibility and general oversight of construction activity for third party clients as well as HCCP portfolio. Prior to joining Hunter Chase in 2004, Mr. Fairchild originated over $500 million in US real estate investments as a Senior Vice President of an international investment firm. Prior to this association, Mr. Fairchild was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director for KeyBank National Association’s Real Estate Equity Group. In his five years in this capacity, Mr. Fairchild oversaw over $500 million in real estate mezzanine and equity investments. Prior to his position within the Real Estate Equity Group, Mr. Fairchild was a Vice President and National Accounts real estate lending officer for KeyBank’s Commercial Real Estate Division. In this role, Mr. Fairchild initiated a relationship with over a dozen prominent Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and developed a national accounts portfolio in excess of $1 billion. Mr. Fairchild received his B.A. in finance at Miami Western University and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.

Todd A. Stone

Director of Construction

Mr. Stone is the Director of Construction for Hunter Chase Capital Partners (HCCP) with primary responsibility for the day to day activities of Hunter Chase Construction LLC.  Mr. Stone has been involved with the development and construction of commercial and custom residential products, ranging from $500,000 to $3 million. He has been involved in the construction of two of the 12,000 sf properties called the Salons of Volterra. To date there are four operating units - Fort Worth, Keller, McKinney, and Lewisville.  He has involvement in seeking out and evaluating future investment opportunities though build to suits is also been part of his responsibilities.  Mr. Stone bring thirty five years of construction experience, being involved with commercial projects rangeing from a local brewery, national restaurant chains and regional grocery store development throughout Texas and the United States. Mr. Stone has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University.
